Course Summary – Swim

The swim course and transition area from South Shore Harbor will offer athletes a great location for a safe swim, large transition space and plenty of parking.

The course will be a modified M-shaped swim course within the walls of the marina. Athletes will walk the 600 meters to the swim start and will line up in order of the swim groups, as posted, in corrals in the grassy area across the road from swim start.  Athletes will enter the water 8 athletes every 10 seconds.  Orange buoys will line the course with yellow buoys indicating a turn.  Competitors will swim east about 600 meters before turning right at the first yellow turn buoy then swim west approximately 500 meters to the second yellow turn buoy and take a left turn.  Once the second turn is made athletes will swim another 500 meters to the east before making another right hand turn to head to swim exit.  Once out of the water athletes will then make the short run (350 feet) to the transition area, which is located in the parking lot of South Shore Harbor.  Inside of transition area athletes will find change tents, bike support and medical support as well as water and Perform Energy Drink!
